Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – Wings

I’ve got to be honest; I didn’t know who these guys were until recently. These guys aren’t like most rap you’re hearing these days (IN A GOOD WAY). Ben Haggerty, known to us as Macklemore, is the rapper and main character or narrator in many of his videos and works with producer Ryan Lewis.

AAAAAnd  I’ll be posting another video or two by Macklemore & Lewis today because… well, I can. And I’m excited to see this group perform on SATURDAY!

Anberlin – “Paperthin Hymn”

After five studio albums, one extended play, one compilation album and seven singles, Anberlin is still rockin! “Paperthin Hymn” is one of their classic oldies that is sure to make most fan-filled crowds start singing along at the top of their lungs!

Young London – “Let Me Go”

“Bostonian based duo of Matt Rhodes and Sarah Graziani, Young London is a mix of pop with a bit of a retro sound, thrown in with some 90’s reminiscing tunes.” (article here) They also cover The Buggles’ 80s hit “Video Killed the Radio Star.”

Monsters Calling Home – “Growing Up”

Check out Buzzbands.LA’s article about the L.A. indie-folk ensemble, Monsters

The sextet’s exuberant music — they jokingly call it “gangster Oriental folk” — relies on gang vocals, sprawling arrangements and the orchestral sweep provided by violinists Chae and Rim.
