Of Monsters and Men - “Little Talks”
This song isn’t really new but it’s been stuck in my head all day. Song of the day has lost some of its consistency with finals but I’ll still try and post periodically. Anyways this is a great band from Iceland & they have some really catchy songs.

Anberlin – “Paperthin Hymn”
After five studio albums, one extended play, one compilation album and seven singles, Anberlin is still rockin! “Paperthin Hymn” is one of their classic oldies that is sure to make most fan-filled crowds start singing along at the top of their lungs!

Young London – “Let Me Go”
“Bostonian based duo of Matt Rhodes and Sarah Graziani, Young London is a mix of pop with a bit of a retro sound, thrown in with some 90’s reminiscing tunes.” (article here) They also cover The Buggles’ 80s hit “Video Killed the Radio Star.”

Monsters Calling Home – “Growing Up”
Check out Buzzbands.LA’s article about the L.A. indie-folk ensemble, Monsters
The sextet’s exuberant music — they jokingly call it “gangster Oriental folk” — relies on gang vocals, sprawling arrangements and the orchestral sweep provided by violinists Chae and Rim.

Song of the Day: March 30, 2012 Man Overboard - “Dead End Dreams”
So Vans Warped Tour 2012 presale began today. The lineup can be found here http://vanswarpedtour.com/bands. I realized I already posted Taking Back Sunday and they’re also headlining.. Older bands like New Found Glory and Yellowcard are playing on the tour, but I wanted to post Man Overboard, a younger pop punk band from New Jersey. I saw them open for the Early November last winter & they will be heading out on the tour this summer. Not gonna lie my taste for pop punk fluctuates and I’ve outgrown most of it but this song is catchy.

P.S. I’m loving the Song of the Day contributions, I am a huge fan of both Young the Giant and Arcade Fire… keep them coming & submit your Song of the Day!

Young the Giant - Islands (“In the Open” Sessions)
Formerly known as The Jakes, Young the Giant has moved from the rock scene into more of the American indie rock and is one of my all time favorite bands. They have a bunch of live “in the open” videos on Youtube that really showcase the bands awesome harmonies. The videos are also visually really beautiful as they take place all over from the beach to the desert to the city.
Here’s are a few more of my personal favorite “In the Open” sessions:
